This symposium is co-sponsored by the Cytokine Interest and Immunology Interest Groups at NIH to honor the career achievements and major scientific contributions of Dr. Ralph Steinman. Steinman's discovery of DCs in 1973 and his subsequent research
opened a new field of study within immunology: DC biology and their role in immune regulation in health and disease. This symposium will bring together leading scientists to discuss the most recent advances in the field and will provide an opportunity for young investigators and trainees at NIH to present their work.
