ICT Owners Complete ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

Lee and Hed douse themselves in ice water to bring awareness to ALS and medical research, challenge industry colleagues

August 27, 2014 - BLOOMINGTON, Minn. -- Challenge accepted! Dr. Brian Lee and Ms. Sally Hed, co-owners of ImmunoChemistry Technologies, were nominated to complete the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. They accepted the challenge on this sunny day in August and made a donation to the ALS Association.

As a leading supplier of tools for apoptosis detection and ELISA development, ICT supports life science research every day. Our biotechnology products help scientists develop treatments for many diseases, including amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. We are excited that this challenge has brought so much attention to medical research, health and disease issues.

Lee and Hed nominated Frank Jaskulke of LifeScience Alley, Mark Kowal of IBL-America, Pete Shuster of Neuromics, Joanna LaBresh of Kingfisher Biotech, Jessica Baden of Novus Biologicals, and Samantha Stanke of the University of Minnesota (our intern!). Nominees were encouraged to either donate to an organization like ALSA that supports medical research and patient services or post an ice bucket video and also make a donation.

More information on amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, the Ice Bucket Challenge, and the ALS Association can be found at www.alsa.org and www.alsa.org/fight-als/ice-bucket-challenge.html.
